A NOTE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
The Felt Estate is a place where details matter and every guest deserves to feel genuinely cared for. The following simply helps us ensure that experience for everyone in attendance.
Children
Young guests are a joy to have on the property. We ask that children remain in the company of a supervising adult throughout the event.
Alcohol
All beverages are served exclusively by a bar service. Outside alcohol is not permitted and guests are asked not to self-serve. Shots or straight spirits are not offered.
Smoking
A designated smoking area is available near the flag pole by the mansion entrance. We kindly ask that all smoking and vaping remain within that area. Marijuana is not permitted on the property.
Animals
We ask that only certified service animals accompany guests to estate events.
Parking
Vehicles are welcome to remain overnight in the Shore Acres Park lot and should be retrieved no later than 10:00 AM the following morning.
Photography and Video
By attending an event at The Felt Estate, guests acknowledge that photography and video may be captured throughout the property. The Felt Estate reserves the right to use this content for marketing and promotional purposes. Media is always handled with care, discretion, and the utmost professionalism.
Communications
Guests may receive occasional email correspondence from The Felt Estate regarding this or future events. We are thoughtful of your inbox.

Yes, free event parking is available on-site in our private lot or in the Shore Acres Township Park lot.
Convenient drop-off locations are available at the mansion, carriage house, reception tent, and both ceremony locations.

Vehicles are welcome to remain overnight in the Shore Acres Park lot and should be retrieved no later than 10:00 AM the following morning.

Uber and Lyft are not readily available.
We recommend pre-scheduling rides with one of the local taxi companies.

As a historic estate, only the first floor of the mansion and carriage house are accessible. Both have an accessible restroom.
There is designated parking at the chapel in the Shore Acres Park lot, at the mansion, and the carriage house.
For guests with limited mobility, drop-off is available at each event location throughout the estate.

Each event is different, but most weddings have an outdoor ceremony, and indoor/outdoor cocktail hour utilizing the grounds and the mansion, followed by a reception in the tent.

The estate is well prepared for Michigan weather. There are multiple ceremony back-up options. The tent provides covered reception space and the mansion’s interior can accommodate guests during inclement weather. Clear umbrellas are available for use at the estate during your visit.

Detroit
Approximately 2.5 hours west via I-96, M-6, and I-196 until you reach the Holland/Saugatuck area. Exit 41.
Chicago
Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Head north on I-90/I-94 into Indiana, then take I-196 north along the Lake Michigan shoreline until you reach the Holland/Saugatuck area. Exit 41.
Grand Rapids Airport
Approximately 40 minutes west via M-6, and I-196 until you reach the Holland/Saugatuck area. Exit 41.
